A full website rework, ongoing SEO and Google Ads, working together to build Skylark's own pipeline of enquiries.
The situation
Skylark had been trading for years with a strong local reputation, but no owned channel of their own. Enquiries came from a mix of paid lead-generation sites — where they pay per lead and then quote against whoever else got sent the same job — plus a listing on the RICS website. Neither channel is something Skylark controls, and neither gets cheaper or better over time.
A lead bought from a third-party site is being quoted on by someone else at the same time — it's a price competition by design. An enquiry that comes from Skylark's own site, ranking for their own name and their own services, isn't being shopped around. That's the difference between renting attention and owning it.
What we did
New service pages, clearer Level 2 and Level 3 areas-we-serve pages and more, built around the questions people are actually asking.
Technical fixes, content built around real search terms, and a Google Business Profile that actually gets maintained.
Search campaigns split by survey type, so Level 3 (the higher-value full survey) gets its own budget and message.
The results
Average Google ranking moved from page 3 in December 2025, when the contract started, to page 1 by August 2026, and it's held there since March. Organic sessions have roughly doubled month on month since.
1,434 enquiries landed across the contact form, email clicks and phone clicks in that period — three in every four of them for a full Level 3 survey, not a quick valuation.
